A: I fix broken businesses! You tell me what needs fixing and I recommend fixes.
Sometimes I act as coach and guide improvements. Sometimes as teacher by presenting classes or workshops. There are times I just dig in and work for you.
Q: Do you do seminars or are you a consultant?
A: I do what will benefit you the most at the least cost. For example, let's say you'd like to improve sales. For one business I might teach a class on sales presentation. For another, I might review the entire sales process and develop a list of improvements. For yet another business, I may design a marketing plan and help the business implement that plan. After we talk, I will offer suggestions that will help you the most at the least cost.
Q: What are your fees?
A: This depends on the nature and duration of the work. Some work is more difficult and requires more time. I can assist you for an hour, a day, a week, a month or a year. I only ask for contract periods when I know it will be cheaper for you. Otherwise, we can work by the hour. I accept credit cards, PayPal and checks. I do not ask for payment unless we are clear about what I can provide. Call me. When I understand what you need, I'll quote rates. Rates start as low as $50 per hour when purchased in blocks.
Q: I don't want anyone outside of our company to know we are using your service. Is this possible?
A: I will not disclose our relationship to anyone unless you instruct me to do so. In some cases, it may be wise to affiliate with me openly as my work is widely followed and thus good for your search standings. But as you see from this site, I do not publish the names of my clients.
Q: How long before I will see results?
A: You will see immediate results. If you give me your objectives, I will set interim goals so you can measure results. If I'm given a relatively free hand, I can produce results very quickly. I'm talking about days. Not months or years.
Q: I just want a 3-4 hour seminar to improve my sales people's skills. Is this possible?
A: Yes. I will need you to provide me with insight into your staff so I can be of maximum benefit. I will charge for the sales seminar plus reasonable travel expenses.
Q: We're a small company but we want a marketing program. Do I need to hire marketing people?
A: No. I can design a marketing plan suitable to your company and do all the steps to get that plan working. And, if you'd like, I can train an employee you already have to take over the marketing after I get things rolling. I always encourage clients to take control of their business. I can switch to an "on call" consulting arrangement once the heavy lifting is done.
Q: I'd like to have a standardized presentation developed for my sales team. Can you do that?

Q: We're far away from California. How can this work?
A: The invention of air travel has resolved this. Seriously, 80% of my work can be done from my office. If we need to meet in person, I will come to you. I have never found geography to be a barrier to success. In fact, I have clients within a few hours drive that I see less often than clients on the opposite coast. I have clients I have never met in person.
Q: We are participating in a trade show soon. Trade shows are expensive. How can we get more for our trade show investment?
A: Let me attend a trade show with your staff and I will greatly improve your trade show return on investment.
Q: Sounds like you do it all. I don't believe it.
A: No. I am selective about the clients I take. It's not about money. I will only work with companies that exhibit ethical core values. I will not work with a competitor of any active client. I will not take on a project that I am not certain will succeed. I work harder than anyone I know because I sincerely care about results.
Q: Have you ever failed?
A: I have tried a number of things that didn't work in search of a winning strategy. You never fail if you never try. I try new strategies so sometimes I fail. But in the end, you'll gain from my work. I have never let a client down. If one approach doesn't work, we'll try another. You have to trust that I will work in your interest.
Q: But our business is so unique, how can you possibly understand our business?
A: I have worked with medical practices, manufacturing firms, distributors, rock stars and government agencies. Yeah, you're special.
Q: How do we get started?
