IPOD: Not Just for Kids

Did you know the IPOD is ideal for listening to audio books? If you spend a lot of time in the car or on a plane, the IPOD may be just the thing to help pass the pass the time and provide some stimulating, stress-free entertainment.

As you know, most books are available in audio format. The most common used today is the CD though some people still use cassettes. But you might not know that these same audio books are available in digital download format for use on an IPOD or other MP3 player.

The IPOD beats lugging around a box of CDs and a klunky, battery-eating CD player. It doesn't take the latest and greatest IPOD to listen to audio books. The basic models work just fine and will hold several complete unabridged books. The books in digital format are less expensive and can be "burned" to CD for future use if desired.
